Instructions for checking browser settings to troubleshoot problems.

Microsoft Windows XP Settings :

1.) Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon at Desktop.

2.) Click on Properties.

3.) Click on Security panel besides the General Panel.

4.) With Internet Icon selected, Click on Custom Level button.

5.) A Security Setting window opens.

6 a.) Either reset the custom level settings to medium-low and skip the below steps.

                                OR

6 b.) Scroll down to the Miscellaneous section of that window.

7.) Inside the miscellaneous option there is a sub option named Allow script initiated windows without size or
     position  constraints -- Click on Enable

8.) Apply the settings


If you are facing trouble with getting the courses to load in your web browser, then it's a browser setting issue.

There are a couple of basic things we can check to see if they are set properly for the courses to load.

Let's check these first. Below are the most common "fixes" to get the courses to load correctly.

Internet Explorer Settings Check:


Clearing cache:

1.) Click on Tools on the menu bar and click on Internet Options.

2.) Under the General tab, within the Temporary Internet Files section, click the Delete Files button. Put a check in     "Delete all offline content" and click the OK button.

3.) When it is finished, click the Settings button, next to the Delete Files button. Under "Check for newer versions      of stored pages:", put a dot in "Every visit to the page". Click OK at the bottom.

Security Settings:

1.) Click on the Security tab, select Internet, and click on the Custom Level button at the bottom.

2.) Make sure that your settings match up with the following:

ActiveX controls and plug-ins
Download signed ActiveX controls-- (Enable)
Download unsigned ActiveX controls-- (Disable)
Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe--(Enable)
Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins-- (Enable)
Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting--(Enable)

Cookies (If you have IE 5.5 or below)
Allow cookies that are stored on your
computer--(Enable)
Allow per-session cookies (not stored)-(Enable)

Downloads
File Download--(Enable)
Font Download--(Enable)

Microsoft VM (If you do not have this,
you will be to download it)
Java Permissions--(High Safety)

Miscellaneous (Scroll down to the last
setting in Miscellaneous, Userdata
persistence)
Userdata persistence--(Enable)

Scripting
Active Scripting--(Enable)
Scripting of Java Applets--(Enable)

3.) Click OK at the bottom.

4.) If you have Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, click on the Privacy tab. Make sure that the security
     bar is at its lowest setting, "Accept All Cookies". If it is not, make the appropriate adjustments,
     by dragging the bar down.

This usually takes care of the problem in most instances. This covers the most common causes of the issue that you are
experiencing. Try the courses again and if you still have problems, please let me know and we will get tech support involved.

Hide the Status Bar in Microsoft Windows XP :

1.) Right-click on the Internet Explorer icon at Desktop.

2.) Click on Properties.

3.) Click on Security panel besides the General Panel.

4.) With Internet Icon selected, Click on Custom Level button.

5.) A Security Setting window opens.

6 a.) Either reset the custom level settings to medium-low and skip the below steps.

OR

6 b.) Scroll down to the Miscellaneous section of that window.

7.) Inside the miscellaneous option there is a sub option named Allow script initiated windows without size or
     position  constraints -- Click on Enable

8.) Apply the settings

     These steps will lead you to solve the problem which you faced
     while viewing the course in 800 * 600 Resolution.
